The spirit is everlasting and happy as it never falls ill, like the body, or disordered like the mind.
If your EGO is in the body, you suffer from illnesses, colds and discomfort and ultimately your awareness dies off awareness!
If your Ego is in the mind, you suffer from insults, humiliation, affections and thousands of things invented by the mind, and your awareness is drowned in a sea of uncontrolled passions!
